Plastic surgeon Dr. Rahim Nazerali used to have a career in International Health, but wanted to interact more with people—to make more of a concrete difference in their lives. He thought about working in an emergency room or going into orthopaedic surgery, but on his first day of plastic surgery, he realized the difference he could make in patients’ lives by giving them a second opportunity to rebuild their confidence and their lives. He knew right away: “I want to do that.”
